National Respiratory Audit Programme (NRAP) Healthcare Improvement for respiratory teams

Please note this opportunity is available across all of England and Wales (not limited to Liverpool or London).

The National Respiratory Audit Programme (NRAP) is offering an exciting opportunity for respiratory care teams in England and Wales to take part in healthcare improvement training and coaching. We welcome interest from teams who want to work on any aspect of care in adult or children and young people’s asthma, as well as COPD or pulmonary rehabilitation.

Overview of the role

Participants will first complete four hours of self-directed online learning at times that suit them throughout July - September 2024. This training will cover a range of topics that will help teams to create an environment for change and overcome barriers to improvement projects.

Participants will then attend one half-day virtual workshop and five one-hour webinars facilitated by a trained Improvement Coach (over a 6-12 month period). Dates for these will be communicated from October 2024. These workshops will be an opportunity to share and explore improvement ideas with leaders and other participants, expand networks, and promote good practice for improving services.

Participants will receive continued support from Improvement Coaches to implement, maintain, and evaluate their own improvement projects.

Who is the training suitable for?

Training is suitable for respiratory care teams in England and Wales submitting data to NRAP who wish to better their practice in improving quality. All grades and roles, clinical and managerial, are encouraged to participate.

At least three participants are required to represent each service team. All training will be virtual but participating teams will be led by an improvement Coach designated to their service region in England or Wales.

Selection process

Places will be offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Teams wishing to participate should complete the application form attached to this advert and return to as soon as possible, and before the deadline on 24 June 2024.

We will be hosting a Q&A drop-in session for anyone interested in joining the programme on Friday 24 May at 11:00 am. Register here for this event.
